Neutralize wins multilingual
search engine optimisation project

Neutralize the UK search engine marketing agency expands its travel and tourism customer base and reinforces international capabilities, by winning a major multilingual search engine optimisation project for DACOM (Devon and Cornwall Overseas Marketing).
The multilingual search engine optimisation project will be delivered in English, French, Dutch and German, with Neutralize working closely with the website development agency on the enterprise optimisation of the new website, due to launch at the end of June, and based on Microsoft .Net technology.
Overseas visitors are a valuable market, spending more than domestic visitors, and providing the tourism industry with the opportunity to create extra revenue for their businesses. Proving to be the most successful marketing campaign for the tourism industry in Cornwall and Devon, the DACOM initiative has been successful in securing European funding of £2 million, from the Objective One and Objective Two programmes, to promote Cornwall and Devon to key international markets. DACOM's activities are also supported by VisitBritain, who are the prime source of information for overseas visitors looking to come to Cornwall and Devon.
The primary aim of the multilingual search engine optimisation project is to build the profile of Devon and Cornwall as destinations for foreign visitors. Lucy Cokes MD of Neutralize, said "Search engines have eclipsed brochures as the primary information delivery mechanism in the travel sector so having a solid search marketing strategy is the single most important factor in a travel businesses online presence. Public sector travel and tourism projects are specifically interesting because of the quality of the content the sites contain.
